Welcome to Locus (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by Armastus Ltd. By accessing or using our mobile application (the “App”), website, or related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”).
These Terms include and incorporate the Locus End User License Agreement (EULA), outlining our strict policies on objectionable content, abusive behavior, and compliance with child protection laws.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue using the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to:
- These Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
- The Locus End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs app usage and content standards.
- Any additional policies, including those related to safety, reporting, and content moderation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be legally permitted to use the Services under the laws of your country.
- Not be a convicted sex offender or required to register as a sex offender with any government entity.
By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet all of these eligibility requirements. If we have reason to believe you are not eligible, we may suspend or terminate your account.
3. Zero-Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content & Abuse
Locus enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding objectionable content, abusive users, and Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE).
3.1 Prohibited Content & Conduct
Users must not post, share, or engage in:
- Sexually explicit content, including any form of nudity, pornography, or solicitation.
- Hate speech, threats, discrimination, harassment, or violent behavior.
- Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including inappropriate conversations, grooming, or sharing illegal content.
- Obscene, defamatory, or otherwise offensive material.
- Spamming, scams, or deceptive conduct.
- Impersonation of others or misrepresentation of identity.
- Content that violates intellectual property rights.
Any user engaging in these activities will be permanently banned and may be reported to law enforcement.
3.2 Reporting & Enforcement
Locus encourages users to report any violations via the in-app reporting system or email support@locusdating.com.
- All reports are reviewed promptly, and action is taken accordingly.
- Automated moderation tools and human review are used to detect and remove harmful content.
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement in cases of CSAE, harassment, or illegal activity.
4. End User License Agreement (EULA) Compliance
By using Locus, you agree to comply with our End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs:
- Content standards and prohibited conduct.
- User accountability for posts, messages, and interactions.
- Immediate suspension or termination for violating EULA policies.
- Legal consequences for engaging in unlawful activities on our platform.
Failure to adhere to EULA guidelines may result in permanent account termination.
5. Account Registration and Security
- You must create an account to use our Services. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and any activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may not create multiple accounts, transfer your account, or use someone else’s account.
6. User Conduct & Community Standards
6.1 Respectful Behavior
Users must engage with others respectfully and in good faith. This means:
- No harassment, hate speech, or bullying.
- No spreading false information or deceptive content.
- No attempts to manipulate or exploit other users.
6.2 Safety & Responsibility
Users are responsible for their own interactions, both online and offline.
- Verify identities before meeting in person.
- Never share sensitive personal or financial information.
- Use caution and report suspicious behavior immediately.
7. Subscription Payments & Refunds
Some features of the Services require payment (“Paid Features”).
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
- No refunds are provided unless required by applicable law.
- Refunds may be issued in compliance with local regulations in the UK, USA, EU, India, and Switzerland.
8. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
8.1 Informal Resolution
Before pursuing legal action, you agree to contact support@locusdating.com within 30 days of the dispute.
8.2 Arbitration Agreement
Disputes that cannot be resolved informally must be settled through binding arbitration, except for small claims or cases requiring injunctive relief.
8.3 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of your residence country:
- UK: UK law
- USA: Laws of the state where you reside
- EU: European law (GDPR-compliant)
- India: Indian law
- Switzerland: Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)
9. Termination & Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for:
- Violating these Terms, the EULA, or our policies.
- Engaging in illegal, harmful, or inappropriate behavior.
- Providing false information or failing to meet eligibility requirements.
If your account is terminated, you may not create a new one without express permission.
You may delete your account at any time through the App’s settings. Some data may be retained as required by law.
